Scott Davenport J.D., M.B.A.
Scott Davenport is a native of Providence, Rhode Island. He graduated law school in 1994 having obtained both his law degree and an M.B.A. During law school, he served as the Managing Editor for the Tulsa Journal of Comparative and International Law, interned for an Oklahoma Federal Magistrate Judge, and clerked for a law firm handling litigation matters.
Scott has been a Texan since moving to Houston in 1994. He began practicing law in 1994 with a Houston litigation boutique in its commercial litigation section. During his tenure there, he represented financial institutions, restaurants, manufacturers, car dealerships, service providers, oil and gas providers, and other business entities in a variety of complex commercial disputes and personal injury defense matters.
Kirsten Davenport, J.D., LL.M
Kirsten Davenport was born in Pennsylvania but became a Texan in 1978. She earned her B.Mus. degree from the University of Texas in 1992. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1995. Upon graduating from law school, she began working for a Board Certified Family law attorney representing individuals in need of legal advice in divorce and child custody proceedings. She then left to join a litigation boutique law firm (Cooper & Scully, P.C.) primarily focusing on representing health care professionals and legal professionals in malpractice disputes involving claims of negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, deceptive trade practices and fraud. She left that firm in 2011 to join the Davenport Law Firm.
Darryl Scott – Of Counsel
The Honorable Darryl Scott heads up the Patent and Intellectual Property section at the Davenport Law Firm. Mr. Scott is a native Texan. He grew up in LaPorte, Texas and now resides in Houston Texas.
Mr. Scott attended the University of Houston where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, and went on to law school and earned his Doctoral degree from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2010. He has over 17 years of professional IT strategy and transformation experience, which enabled him pass the Patent Bar Exam. He is currently registered to file Patent Applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He is licensed in multiple Federal Courts in Texas. Mr. Scott is also an associate Judge with the Houston Municipal Court as well as a certified mediator.
